Print Resources available in the Stowe Elementary School Library
This May students in 5th grade will be involved in the "Knowing Your Body" Science Unit.  Here are a few of the resources we have available in the library.  We hope that you will stop in and check them out.  They are available to assist in answering questions your children may have.

The Period Book: Everything Your Don't Want to Ask (But Need to Know)

This book explains what happens at the onset of menstruation, discussing what to wear, going to the gynecologist, and how to handle various problems.  The book is about changes and what occurs during puberty.

It's So Amazing: A Book about Eggs, Sperm, Birth, Babies, and Families

This book uses bird and bee cartoon characters to present straightforward explanations of topics related to sexual development, love, reproduction, adoption, sexually transmitted diseases, and more.
